A specialized analytics platform focused on a unique type of data delivers results to clients via sophisticated dashboards and point-and-click lists of recommendations. The firm is delivering strong value to clients and is very successful, yet clients have asked for synthesized insights at a macro level. The platform company focuses on delivering scalable technology solutions and does not have the staff or expertise to expand into professional services-style deliverables.

A sophisticated data supplier collects precise and highly accurate data and sells it in relatively raw form to a large, long-standing client base. However, considerable insights and findings are resident in the data when studied in aggregate, and with an eye toward meaningful correlations.
