Chrysalis believes in humanizing data. Powerful visualizations and interactive data findings can only go so far in communicating the complexity that exists. We consider each audience and write thoughtfully about key findings, to ensure that users can fully integrate these findings into their workflow.
For each client, our teams focus on creating a customized, digestible format to deliver data narratives, tuned to speak to each audience. Our deliverables – available in images, PDFs, slides and searchable online tools – ensure that critical data is in context, well understood and clearly pointed toward action.
1/ Analytics Platform
A specialized analytics platform focused on a unique type of data delivers results to clients via sophisticated dashboards and point-and-click lists of recommendations. The firm is delivering strong value to clients and is very successful, yet clients have asked for synthesized insights at a macro level. The platform company focuses on delivering scalable technology solutions and does not have the staff or expertise to expand into professional services-style deliverables.
A team of analysts, writers, editors and designers receive in-depth training on the platform and its data elements. Next they engage with each interested client, capturing their needs and interests. For each client, a unique set of content containers, desired formats and topic areas are developed. Production and delivery of their customized, narrative-and-data deliverables are underway in less than 30 days, creating new value for clients. A high margin, incremental revenue stream via outsourced, white label professional services is created for the analytics platform.
2/ IoT Platform
An IoT platform enables remote management and monitoring of all connected devices
belonging to an IoT system. Powerful analytical capacities allow the processing, organizing
and studying of the data received from sensors, meters and other IoT devices, on an
automated and AI-assisted basis. However, platform clients are interested in critical
insights that will help them drive sales, examine trend lines for key employee teams,
support customer success initiatives, and create aggregated benchmarking value for
comparison purposes. Since the platform company focuses on delivering great scalability
options and integration with cutting-edge technologies and extensive analytics, they see
the client need, but cannot devote staff and infrastructure to accommodate this client

3/ Data Supplier
A sophisticated data supplier collects precise and highly accurate data and sells it in
relatively raw form to a large, long-standing client base. The raw data is injected into the
clients’ BI, marketing campaign and CRM tools to be used for audience targeting and new
customer acquisition campaigns. However, considerable insights and findings are resident
in the data when studied in aggregate, and with an eye toward meaningful correlations.
Clients have asked to receive professional analysis of these findings, both broadly for
their category but also specifically for their own audiences.
The data supplier focuses on specialized data collection and efficient, timely delivery, and does not maintain staff resources for analysis, visualization or synthesized data findings. Though they see the
client need, they aren’t well versed in this type of work, and cannot invest in appropriately
trained staff and infrastructure to accommodate this consistent client request.
A trained team of analysts, writers, editors and designers come up to speed on the data
assets, and conduct extensive analyses of the data to identify key data findings. Next they
engage with key data supplier clientele, to understand their needs and interests. The team
creates a series of syndicated, regularly produced reports that focus on key verticals,
and delivers them quarterly. Filled with in-depth analysis, insights and explanatory prose,
this new way of presenting the data brings the findings to life. They also design a set of
off-the-shelf options that clients can request on a customized basis, and on the fly, so
that clients can get their own, specific questions answered when they need it.
The data collector’s sales team uses the syndicated reports in the sales process to land new clients,
since they present an entirely new way to think about the firm’s exceptional expertise and data assets. The custom reports requested by the clients create a new, incremental data stream for the data collector, and position them to reach a new set of potential customers who prefer analytical content to raw data.
